NBC has announced that Saturday Night Live will air an original episode this Saturday, April 11!

Production of SNL (and other programs) was halted last month due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Daniel Craig hosted the last episode of Saturday Night Live on March 7 with musical guest The Weeknd. John Krasinski was expected to host the episode that was originally scheduled for March 28 (with Dua Lipa performing). No word yet if either will be part of the April 11th edition.

NBC says that the content for this weekend’s special episode will be produced remotely by cast members, including “Weekend Update.” Viewers could expect a tribute to long-time music producer Hal Willner, who passed away from COVID-19 earlier this week.

Lorne MichaelsThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers have also been producing remote episodes for the past couple of weeks.

Saturday Night Live will air Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on Global and NBC.
