
The winners from the 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on Friday, June 25, in a special ceremony that was by The Talk’s Sheryl Underwood and broadcast on CBS and Global.
General Hospital celebrated the most wins of the night following an impressive 21 nominations with Max Gail (Mike) winning Outstanding Supporting Actor, Maurice Benard (Sonny) winning Outstanding Lead Actor and the series itself winning Outstanding Directing Team and Outstanding Drama Series.
The Young and the Restless’s Marla Adams (Dina) won Outstanding Supporting Actress while the series won Outstanding Writing Team. Canadian actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) took home the Outstanding Lead Actress award for The Bold and the Beautiful.
Days of our Lives’ Victoria Konefal (Ciara) won the award for Outstanding Younger Performer while Cady McClain (Jennifer) won for Outstanding Guest Performer.
