The milestone 40th anniversary week episodes of the hit BBC soap EastEnders will air this week on OneTV in Canada.

Forty years of iconic characters (Peggy “Get Outta My Pub” Mitchell), jaw-dropping storylines (“You Ain’t My Mother!”), and enough drama to fill the Queen Vic ten times over (pretty much any Christmas since Dirty Den delivered Angie divorce papers), EastEnders has been a staple of British television and the 40th anniversary episodes will be nothing short of legendary.

Get ready and grab a cheese-and-pickle sandwich, Canada! While we’ve been patiently waiting, OneTV is bringing you the explosive EastEnders 40th anniversary week, a month after its UK debut. That means Ross Kemp‘s iconic Grant Mitchell is back, starting this Monday at 7 p.m. and we’ll finally find out who attacked Cindy (Michelle Collins) at Christmas. The big one-hour anniversary episode will be split into two parts on Tuesday and Wednesday, delivering that much-hyped explosion. But that’s not all – prepare for blasts from the past!
