Heated Rivalry, the highly anticipated series based on Rachel Reid’s best-selling book series Game Changers, premieres this Friday, November 28, on Crave in Canada.
A “steamy romance” set in the world of hockey, the six-episode series from Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny) stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, two of the biggest stars in Major League Hockey, who are bound by ambition, rivalry, and a magnetic pull neither of them fully understands.
What begins as a secret fling between two fresh-faced rookies evolves into a years-long journey of love, denial, and self-discovery. Over the next eight years, as they chase glory on the ice, they struggle to navigate their feelings for each other.
Torn between the sport they live for and the love they can’t ignore, Shane and Ilya must decide if there’s room in their fiercely competitive world for something as fragile – and powerful – as real love.
Starring alongside Williams and Storrie are François Arnaud (The Moodys), Robbie GK (Overcompensating), Sophie Nélisse (Yellowjackets), Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova (Robyn Hood), Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck), and Christina Chang (The Good Doctor).
Heated Rivalry was filmed in Toronto and Montreal.
The series will premiere with two episodes on November 28 and then stream weekly, with the finale scheduled for December 26. Heated Rivalry will stream on HBO Max in the U.S. with the same schedule.
