Parks and Recreation stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman have teamed up for a lighthearted competition that celebrates the creativity and craftiness in all of us. Premiering on Tuesday, July 31, Making It will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV in Canada and NBC in the U.S.

Airing for six weeks, eight amateur artisans will take on a series of projects that they must finish in their own unique way. As the competition escalates, the contestants will be challenged to master difficult skills, leading up to a final “craft-off” between the most creative and tenacious contestants.

Joining Poehler and Offerman are Simon Doonan, the creative ambassador for Barneys and Dayna Johnson, an Etsy trend expert. Designer Jimmy DiResta will serve as Making It’s Shop Master.

From Vulture: “[Poehler and Offerman have] conjured a tiny oasis in our combative culture and a glue-gun-ready glimmer of how society should (and sometimes still does) function. In other words, as promised, they’ve made a show that makes you feel good.”

Making It airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV. Episodes will also be available on the CTV GO app, on demand, and at CTV.ca.
