What to Watch: Wicker, Nobody Wants This, The Celebrity Traitors UK and More

Whether you’re heading to the cinema for high-concept fantasy and holiday horror, or settling in on the couch for spooks, tears, and high-society scandals, Halloween weekend is stacked!

Here’s The TV Watercooler’s essential guide to what to watch the weekend of Friday, October 30, 2026.

·      Wicker gets a wider release in theatres this weekend. An ostracized fisherwoman (Olivia Coleman) commissions the local basketmaker (Peter Dinklage) to weave her a husband (Alexander Skarsgård), but when her wicker creation proves unexpectedly extraordinary, his presence ignites jealousy and upheaval that threatens their quiet village.

·      Noah Segan’s The Only Living Pickpocket in New York opens this weekend. It premiered at TIFF and stars John Turturro, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tatiana Maslany. When a theft goes awry, a veteran pickpocket is sent on a mission through New York to reclaim it.

·      Also hitting theatres this weekend is the R-rated Christmas at the Kringles. The Severson family move to a suburban neighbourhood where their neighbours, the Kringles, celebrate Christmas year-round and harbour sinister intentions to hypnotize and indoctrinate them. Stars Ron Livingston, Rachel Bilson, and Rob Riggle.

·      In case you missed it last weekend, Mike Flanagan’s Clayface is also a fun/scary pick. Based on the DC Comics IP, rising Hollywood star Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries) descends into a horrifying revenge-filled monster when scientific ambition strips him of his identity and humanity.

·      Netflix’s breakout romantic comedy Nobody Wants This returned for its third season on Oct. 22. This season sees Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s Joanne and Noah see whether their love can survive cohabitation, conversion classes, and an annoying ex moving next door. Meanwhile, Morgan (Justine Lupe) and Sasha (Timothy Simons) find themselves simultaneously single for the first time – leading to chaotic dynamic shifts across the group (and Sasha’s bold new blond look).

·      Prince Williams heads to the sofa on this week’s episode of The Graham Norton Show (airing Saturday, Oct. 31 on BBC First in Canada). Also features Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham, Robert Irwin, and musical guest Jorja Smith.

·      Obsession star Inde Navarette hosts the Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Gracie Abrams. Airs Oct. 31 at 11:30 p.m. ET on CTV, NBC, and streams on Crave.

·      Arriving for the three-year anniversary of his passing, The One About Matthew Perry offers an intimate, multi-faceted look at the life, career, and enduring legacy of the late Friends star. The three-part documentary is now streaming on Netflix.

·      Co-produced by A24 and Crave, It Gets Worse is a sharp, biting new British comedy created and starring comedian Leo Reich. The six-episode series follows three university best friends now living in London in their mid-twenties who are forced to face adulthood when their landlord sells their flat and kicks them out. Guest stars include Andrew Scott, Lena Dunham, and Amelia Dimoldenberg. Check out The Guardian’s review here.

·      This season’s final two episodes of The Celebrity Traitors UK stream in Canada this weekend. The remaining Faithfuls face their most nerve-wracking Round Table yet, knowing that a single miscalculated vote could hand total control over to any surviving Traitors before the final day in episode nine (streaming in Canada on Crave on Friday, Oct. 30). In the extended finale (streaming Saturday, Oct. 31), an intense final mission to secure the remaining charity funds has the remaining group entering the ultimate endgame test, with host Claudia Winkleman putting everything on the line as the remaining players make their final declarations around the fire pit.

·      The fourth season of The Gilded Age premieres this Sunday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. on HBO Canada/Crave. Picking up after a short time jump, Julian Fellowes’ lavish period saga enters an intense new phase. Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) finds her newly secured position at the top of High Society coming at a heavy price, forcing the Russell family to reckon with the fallout. Meanwhile, Anges van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) seizes a fresh opportunity to reclaim her lost crown as the city’s reigning queen bee.

·      Released in theatres earlier this year, Scream 7 hits Crave this Friday, Oct. 30, just in time for Halloween! Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is pulled back into a deadly nightmare with franchise creator Kevin Williamson at the helm. Now living a quiet life as a small-town police chief’s wife and mother, Sidney must face the horrors of her past once again when a new Ghostface killer targets her family – and specifically her eldest daughter, Tatum (Isabel May). Courteney Cox, Joel McHale, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mckenna Grace, and Anna Camp also star.
