Spoilers: Dollhouse preview and Nip/Tuck returns to Canada

— Please give Dollhouse a chance. I really hope that the slow start is due to FOX’s meddling with Joss Whedon’s original vision. Anyway, here’s some scoop on what’s coming up: this Friday’s episode (airing at 9pm on Global/FOX) will find Eliza Dushku‘s Echo becoming a backup singer who needs to protect a female star from a crazy fan. The March 13th episode will have Echo as a visually impaired woman who must rescue a woman hat is held against her will in a cult. As much as Joss Whedon hates spoilers, Fran Kranz (Topher) spoke with the L.A. Times and leaked out that there is a place in the Dollhouse called “the Attic” which stores all the failed Dolls and personalities. Dose’s very own Kat Angus reports that Firefly‘s Alan Tudyk (ex-Walsh) is joining the show as bad guy Alpha. Check out more on the scoop here. Eliza covers the March 2009 issue of Maximhere you go! You’re welcome.

— Latest word on Nicolette Sheridan‘s exit from Desperate Housewives (Sundays at 9pm on CTV/Global) is that Edie will die towards the end of this season in a car accident and it will be up to one of the other housewives to break the tragic news to Edie’s kid…who should be about 15 years old now due to the flash forward.

— Peyton (Hilarie Burton) will also be involved in a car accident on One Tree Hill (Mondays at 9pm on The CW) but that won’t cause her to lose the baby…but, something else might by this season’s end. Update: You’ll see the show’s renewal notice below but now comes word that they may right off both Peyton and Lucas if the actors decide to leave.

90210‘s AnnaLynne McCord is returning o Nip/Tuck for at least one more episode to cause some trouble as Eden. Good news for Canadian fans who may be tired of downloading the episodes, Citytv is taking the series over from CTV! The second half of season five premieres next Wednesday (March 4th) at 9pm. Sean (Dylan Walsh) will get the shock of his life when his presumed-dead and never-mentioned-before younger brother shows up, played by Neil Hopkins (who played Charlie’s brother on Lost). His name will be Brendan and he’ll be a recovering meth addict who has been living on a nature preserve.

— Betty (America Ferrera) deals with some unfortunate news after reading some of Henry’s Facebook updates on Ugly Betty (Thursdays at 8pm on Citytv/ABC) this week. Betty’s also getting a lot more attention from Matt (Daniel Eric Gold). Next week, the Suarez’s landlord will decide to sell the house forcing the family to scramble together to save their home. Ignacio (Tony Plana) will find himself on a television cook-off.

— Not spoilers but some good news for a bunch of CW shows. The network has renewed Gossip Girl, Smallville, One Tree Hill (although Chad Michael Murray has yet to sign), 90210, Supernatural and America’s Next Top Model for next season. They’re also getting ready for the Gossip Girl spin-off and have ordered a pilot for the Melrose Place revamp.
