— Ugly Betty’s back tonight at its new 10pm timeslot on ABC! Yay, no more Friday night death slot! If you’ve tuned out, you should really start watching again since the show is on a creative upswing. Don’t believe me? Check out Entertainment Weekly’s five reasons to tune in again. The only Betty-news that I’m not really digging at the moment is the idea of pairing up Daniel and Betty. Sure, it worked in all the other Betty serials, but Daniel/Betty are good at being JUST friends. Daniel and Amanda would make such a better couple…after all, she did save him from a cult.
— Modern Family also returns tonight with guest star Benjamin Bratt as Manny’s dad…you know, the one who didn’t take him to Disneyland.
— There’s a mini-Friends reunion tonight when Lisa Kudrow drops by Cougar Town as Jules’ dermatologist.
— So this is pretty hilarious, the FBI was alerted when the ‘Save our Soaps’ (S.O.S.) campaign sent over bars of soap to CBS in an effort to save As The World Turns and Guiding Light from cancellation. CBS was afraid they were receiving anthrax.
— Mischa Barton will guest star on Law & Order: SVU as a whore. A whore with a dark secret.
— Amanda Peet (anyone else remember Jack & Jill?) will appear as one of Marshall’s co-workers on the Jan. 18th episode of How I Met Your Mother. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood will guest star later this March as someone who catches Ted’s eye. Don’t worry, she’s probably not the “mother.” Just a reminder that Rachel Bilson appears on the 100th episode on Jan. 11th and she’ll play a pivotal role in Ted’s future.
— There’s also an Arrested Development reunion happening, but it’ll be animated. Jeffery Tambor (George) will guest star on the Jan. 28th episode of Archers which co-stars Jessica Walter (Lucille). The animated series airs on FX in the States…no Canadian broadcaster yet, not like that matters anymore.
— Looks like the rumors are true. Former The Young and the Restless star Victoria Rowell (ex-Dru) is slated to appear in the next season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
— Jersey Shore’s Ronnie was arrested for punching a dude back in September. What? Don’t act like you’re surprised.
— Here’s Chris Pine checking the great view at the Lakers game last night:
