Sundance Channel Canada will re-air the series premiere of The Road Road tonight at 8 p.m.

The drama, which premiered in the US on Thursday, February 27 and on Friday, February 28 in Canada, revolves around two clashing communities in the fictional wooden enclave of Walpole, New Jersey – just outside New York City.

The first side, the “white” side focuses on local cop Herald Jensen (played by Martin Henderson – who you’ll recognize from The Ring, Off the Map and Britney Spears’ “Toxic” video) who has to cover up his alcoholic wife’s hit-and-run. The wife is played by Julianne Nicholson (Boardwalk Empire and the recent film adaptation of August: Osage County).

Jensen finds himself having to team up with the sketchy Phillip Kopus from the Native American tribe. While they are native, the government doesn’t recognize them. Kopus is played by former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa while his mother played by Tamara Tunie, who is familiar to As the World Turns and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fans. Look out for appearances from Lisa Bonet and Tom Sizemore as well.

Beneath the race issues and cover up is a family secret involving Nicholson’s Jean and the Kopus family.

The Red Road’s six episode first season continues to air Fridays at 9 p.m. on the Sundance Channel in Canada.
