Set and shot in London, England, the 12-episode “event series” picks up four years after the final 24 season with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) living as a fugitive. Jack comes out of hiding and risks his life to prevent another global disaster when James Heller (William Devane), who is now the President of the United States, is facing an assassination attempt. This could potential reunite Jack with his former love, Audrey (Kim Raver), Heller’s daughter. Jack will have to team up with his former confidante Chloe O’Brian (Maryn Lynn Rajskub) who has since faced jail time and has become a hacktivist.
Joining the returning stars are Benjamin Bratt (as CIA head Steve Navarro), Yvonne Strahovski (CIA agent Kate Morgan), Jordan Reed (CIA computer tech), Gbenga Akinnagbe (CIA file operative), Michael Wincott (high-profile hacker Adrian Cross) and Tate Donavan who will be playing Mark Boudreau, the president’s chief of staff and Audrey’s husband.Guest stars in the two-hour premiere include Stephen Fry and Michelle Fairley.
24: Live Another Day returns courtesy of an Emmy-Award winning team which includes executives producer Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Brian Gazer and director Jon Cassar. Sutherland also serves as an executive producer while co-creator Robert Cochran is also back.
24: Live Another Day has its two-hour premiere on Monday, May 5 at 8 p.m. on Global and Fox. The series returns to its regular slot of Monday at 9 p.m. the following week.
