Taraji P. Henson hosting Saturday Night Live

Saturday Night Live has announced that Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson will host the April 11th episode! Mumford & Sons will be the musical guest. This week’s episode will feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and George Ezra while next week will have Michael Keaton and Carly Rae Jepson.

There’s bound to be an Empire spoof, but will they be able to top “Take a dip, Chip”?!

Empire‘s Trai Byers (Andre) and Grace Gealy (Boo Boo Kitty) are dating.

— Fox’s first Wednesday night without Empire took a huge dip in the ratings last night.

SNL‘s Taran Killam managed to film a guest spot on New Girl during the sketch show’s hiatus these past few weeks. Look for Killam to play Fred, Jess’ new boyfriend who has “the world’s most amazing parents” according to TV Line. The parents will be played by Henry Winkler and Julie Haggerty.

— 35-year-old Adam Brody will play a 40-year-old in a new CBS pilot about “a group of friends and family at three different times in their lives.” Breaker High‘s Tyler Labine is also attached.

— It’s totally okay to be excited for The X-Files revival.

Billy Crystal and Josh Gad‘s The Comedians will debut on April 9 on FX Canada, following the season 5 premiere of Louie at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Degrassi‘s Alex Steele has joined the cast of the ABC pilot, Original Sin, alongside Zach Gilford and Andrew McCarthy. The drama centres on the return of a politician’s son after being presumed dead for over a decade.

— Looks like it’s true. ITV confirms that Downton Abbey will end after its sixth season.
