Jonathan Jackson will return to General Hospital as Lucky Spencer this summer for Anthony Geary’s (Luke) goodbye storyline. Also joining Jackson is on-screen half-brother Nathan Parsons (Ethan). Daytime Confidential was the first to scoop the return of Luke Spencer’s sons while Entertainment Weekly confirmed the casting news last Wednesday.

Jackson’s return stint will reunite him with the recently returned Genie Francis (Laura) for the first time since 1999 (Greg Vaughan was in the role during Laura’s last returns). Jackson originated the role of Luke and Laura’s son in 1993 and stayed until 1999. Jacob Young (Rick, The Bold and the Beautiful) assumed the role in 2000 while Vaughan took over from 2003 until 2009, when Jackson returned for two years.

Parsons’ Ethan was last seen in 2013 during the soap’s 50th anniversary storyline and currently stars on The CW’s The Originals while Jackson has been starring on ABC’s Nashville since leaving 2012.

— Also making a return to GH for Luke’s exit is his and Robert’s ex, Holly Sutton! Executive producer Frank Valentini announced that Emma Samms would be returning to the soap as Ethan’s mother. Sammy was last seen on GH in 2013.

With four big characters marking their comeback for Geary’s exit, GH fans are still holding out hope for the following returns: Constance Towers (Helena Cassadine), Denise Alexander (Lesley Webber), Robin Christopher (Skye Chandler Quartermaine) and Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) — even though the popular actor is under contract at CBS’ The Young and the Restless but has been barely seen since February.

— That’s soap newcomer Robert Palmer Watkins in the role of Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital. The actor made his debut as Tracy’s youngest son last week. Scott Clifton (Liam, The Bold and the Beautiful) previously played the role of Dillon from 2003 until 2007.

days of our lives shawn returning 2015

— Over at Days of our Lives: Thaao Penghlis (ex-Victor, GH) will be making a return for the NBC soap’s 50th anniversary this fall. According to TV Line, it looks like Penghlis will portray Andre DiMera and not his look-alike cousin Tony. Also in at DAYS is soap vet A Martinez (ex-Cruz, Santa Barbara; ex-Roy, General Hospital) as a new character named Eduardo — rumoured to be Rafe’s (Galen Gering) father.

— Also headed back to Days of our Lives is Jason Cook as Shawn Douglas Brady! Cook played Bo and Hope’s son from 1999 until 2006. The actor then went to General Hospital as Matt Hunter from 2008 until 2012. Could Belle be far behind?

jessica collins leaving young and the restless

Daytime Confidential broke the news that Jessica Collins is set to exit The Young and the Restless. The actress who previously appeared on The City joined the CBS soap in 2011 as Avery Bailey Clark. Get this: Chuck Pratt actually pitched a disgusting story where Avery lies that her ex-husband Joe Clark (Scott Elrod) rapes her. Wow.

maya parents bold and the beautiful

Winsor Harmon and Shae Harrison are returning to The Bold and the Beautiful as Thorne and Ghost Darla this summer. Meanwhile, Drumline actor Rome Flynn has joined the soap as Zende Forrester Dominguez, Kristen (Tracy Melchior) and Antonio’s (Paula Benedit) adopted son.

Horsford makes her first appearance on July 3 while Babatundé’s first episode airs on July 9. Both actors will initially appear in at least 15 episodes.
