Rogers Media unveiled City’s 2017-18 schedule on Tuesday (June 6).

Three returning U.S. shows have found a place on the City schedule: Dancing with the Stars will move from CTV to City, along with Speechless, while The Blacklist makes its move to the Rogers-owned network from Global.

New comedies premiering on the network this fall are The Orville and Ghosted. LA to Vegas will also air on City this midseason. Based on the cult Canadian film Fubar, CIty’s new comedy Fubar: The Age of the Computer will also premiere this fall. Returning comedies include Black-ish, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, Last Man on Earth, Life in Pieces, The Mick, The Middle, Modern Family, Mom, Nirvanna The Band Show, and New Girl.

Although it’s not listed on the schedule at the moment, the final season of The Mindy Project will air on City, according to a spokesperson for City. The Mindy Project’s sixth and final season is scheduled to debut on Hulu this September.

On the drama front, City has picked up The Resident for midseason. In the fall, the network will debut its original production, Bad Blood, following the true-crime saga of one of Canada’s most notorious mob families. City is also set to air Versailles in 2018. The Canal+ series was previously broadcast in Canada by Super Channel (season one) and later The Movie Network (season two).

Returning dramas include Lethal Weapon and Scorpion. Reality shows returning include The Bachelor franchise (although The Bachelor Canada will air this fall on Corus Entertainment’s W Network) and Hell’s Kitchen.

Hockey Night in Canada is also back. This year’s specials include Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards and The 51st Annual Country Music Awards. City will also broadcast the live ‘event’ musicals of A Christmas Story and Rent.

While imprisoned in Colorado’s Supermax Prison for the murders of three Bonanno family members, Rizzuto watches helplessly as the thriving empire he built is dismantled, and his closest friends and family members are mysteriously murdered one by one. When Rizzuto is finally released from prison, a Shakespearean-level revenge tale plays out – leading to the brutal murders of his closest companions, and ultimately the death of Rizzuto himself.

Discovering high-speed Internet for the first time, Terry is exposed to a world of commerce and social media and attempts to harness the web to make a profit. LA TO VEGAS
Boarding passes, please. Welcome to Jackpot Airlines, a budget carrier whose roundtrip junket flight from LA to Vegas and back again, is filled with dreamers looking for that big score. The flight manifest includes long-suffering flight attendant Ronnie; Captain Dave, the narcissistic pilot whose fighter-pilot dreams never quite worked out; Bernard, the always-positive career flight attendant who thinks there’s no flight more magical than the LA-to-Vegas; Artem the genial professional gambler who serves as the plane’s resident (but unofficial) bookie; and Nichole the sweet-natured, part-time stripper who’s a lot savvier than people realize. This group of dreamers and underdogs eventually go from being strangers on a plane to an unconventional Friday-to-Sunday family – whether they like it or not.

In 400 years, Earth is part of the Planetary Union, a far-reaching, advanced and mostly peaceful civilization with a fleet of 3,000 ships. Aboard the U.S.S. Orville, a mid-level exploratory vessel, its crew – both human and alien – face the wonders and dangers of outer space while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of regular people in a workplace. Down on his luck after a bitter divorce, Planetary Union officer Ed Mercer finally gets his chance to command one of the ships, a task complicated by his ex-wife, Kelly Grayson, newly assigned as his First Officer. Ed assembles a qualified but eccentric crew, including his best friend Gordon Malloy, who has problems with authority; Dr. Claire Finn, one of the Union’s most accomplished physicians; Bortus, an alien from a single-sex species; Isaac, an artificial life-form from a machine society; and others. Facing cosmic challenges from without and within, this motley crew of space explorers will boldly go where no comedic drama has gone before.
