Bell Media has announced a free preview of Crave this weekend to celebrate the third season premiere of HBO’s True Detective, which stars Mahershala Ali.
Canadians will be able to access three of Crave’s linear television channels — Crave 1, HBO 1 & HBO 2 — beginning Friday, Jan. 11 (11 a.m. ET/MT) through Monday, Jan. 14 (11 a.m. ET/MT).
Season three of True Detective (airing at 9 p.m. on Sunday) will “tell the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks and a mystery that deepens over decades. Green Book’s Mahershala Ali stars as state police detective Wayne Hays, who in 1980, investigated the case of missing children Will and Julie Purcell. In 2015, the now-retired Hays is asked to look back on the twists of the unsolved case with a true-crime documentary producer alongside his old partner Roland West (Stephen Dorff).
In addition to the two-episode premiere of True Detective, other titles that will air this weekend on Crave include Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Wonder Woman, The Greatest Showman, Get Out, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Call Me By Your Name, Paddington 2, Peter Rabbit, My Dinner with Herve, the sixth season of VEEP and the season six finale of SHOWTIME series Ray Donovan.
