Doug Davidson is returning to The Young and the Restless. The actor was unceremoniously demoted to recurring status last year by former executive producer and head writer Mal Young and disappeared off the canvas. The news of Davidson’s return was announced on social media by Eric Braeden (Victor) — who thanked Sony executive Steve Kent as well as the show’s new EP, Anthony Morina, and head writer Josh Griffith.
