Apple TV+ has launched! Offering a powerful and inspiring lineup of original series, movies and documentary, Apple TV+ made its debut in Canada on November 1, available on the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms including online at tv.apple.com, Roku, and select smart TVs.
Check out the new shows available below. The first three episodes of each series will be available to stream/download to device at launch, with new episodes added weekly.
The Morning Show: A cutthroat drama starring and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, and also starring Steve Carrell, Mark Duplass and Billy Crudup, explores the world of morning news and the ego, ambition and the misguided search for power behind the people who help America wake up in the morning.
See: An epic drama starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodward which is set 600 years in the future after a virus has decimated humankind and rendered the remaining population blind. When all humanity has lost the sense of sight, humans must adapt and find new ways to survive.
For All Mankind: A new series from Ronald D. Moore which imagines what could have happened if the global space race never ended and the space program remained the cultural centrepiece of America’s hopes and dreams. Stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Chris Agos, Matt Battaglia, Chris Bauer, Jeff Branson and Colm Feore.
Dickinson: A darkly comedic coming-of-age story, explores the constraints of society, gender and family through the lens of rebellious young poet, Emily Dickinson (Hailee Steinfeld). Also stars Toby Huss and Jane Krakowski.
For Kids: The Ghostwriter reboot (following four kids who are brought together by a mysterious ghost in a neighbourhood bookstore), Snoopy in Space (where Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew take command of the International Space Station), and Helpsters — a new live-action pre-school series from the makers of Sesame Street.
Don’t Miss: Acclaimed doc The Elephant Queen is a cinematic love letter to a species on the verge of extinction, follows a majestic matriarch elephant and her herd on an epic journey of life, loss and homecoming. Coming Soon: M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant (November 28); Truth Be Told starring Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul (December 6); Little America inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazine; The Banker a feature film starring Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson; Hala, which was selected by the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, following a high school senior struggling to balance being a suburban teenager with her traditional Muslim upbringing.
Apple TV+ is available for $5.99 per month with a seven-day free trial. Customers who purchased a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch or Mac after September 10, 2019, will receive one year of the streaming service for free. Students who subscribe to Apple Music on a student plan will be able to receive Apple TV+ for free. Up to six family members can share an Apple TV+ subscription using their own Apple ID and password with Family Sharing.
