CBS soaps The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful officially announced on Thursday (April 2) evening that they’ll be airing classic episodes on Friday, April 3.
With a limited number of episodes remaining since production was shut down last month due to limiting the spread of COVID-19, the two CBS soaps and ABC have opted to air classic episodes on Fridays. While ABC’s General Hospital has announced this model through May 22, CBS has yet to officially announce if the classic episodes will air each Friday.
NBC’s Days of our Lives, meanwhile, has enough original episodes to last through the fall.

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful can tune in to see the show’s 30th-anniversary episode from 2017 – which was filmed in Australia and featured revamped opening credits. While The Young and the Restless treats fans to Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) wedding from 1984.
You’re invited to join #YR for the wedding of Victor and Nikki Newman. 👰 Watch their first “I do’s” tomorrow at our regularly scheduled time on @CBS! And we will pick up where we left off today on Monday’s episode. pic.twitter.com/ufkgN1QaXn

No word if CTV 2 will broadcast the classic episode in Canada. Canadians with feeds to CBS will be able to view both classic episodes on those channels. Global, which airs Y&R a day ahead throughout Canada, aired a recent rerun rather than the classic episode. No word yet if Global will air this classic episode at a later date or post it online or on demand.
New episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful resume Monday on CBS. New episodes of The Young and the Restless resume Friday on Global and Monday on CBS.
