ABC has announced that new episodes of General Hospital will begin airing beginning Monday, August 3.
Production of General Hospital (along with the other four American soap operas) was suspended back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. General Hospital resumed filming this past week in Los Angeles, California.
Encore episodes of the ABC soap began airing on Fridays this past spring and many episodes were edited in order to stretch out new episodes through May 21. Theme weeks mainly revolving around Maurice Benard’s Sonny Corinthos filled the void while CBS soaps The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful treated fans to classic episodes stretching back decades.
