New series Call Me Kat will premiere in Canada this Sunday, January 3, 2021 on CTV.

Based on the hit BBC series Miranda, Call Me Kat stars Mayim Bialik (Blossom) as a woman who struggles against society – and her mother – to prove that she can still live a happy and fulfilling life despite still being single at 39.  While it was expected that Kat could be married with kids by now, for many reasons she’s still single – but is totally fine with it! Kat decides to spend her entire savings on a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky.

“What I love is that this is not a show about a woman trying to find someone,” says Bialik to Bell Media. “It’s a show about a woman trying to be happy finding herself, and seeing what happens along the way.”

Call Me Kat reunites Bialik with her Big Bang Theory co-star Jim Parsons, who serves as Executive Producer, along with Darlene Hunt (The Big C). Starring alongside Bialik are Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Julian Grant, Leslie Jordan, and Swoosie Kurtz.

Although the premiere episode will air on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m., Call Me Kat will move to its regular timeslot, Thursdays at 9 p.m. on both CTV and FOX, beginning January 7.

Call Me Kat will also stream for free for Canadians on CTV.ca following its premiere.
