The Young and the Restless Preview: Kyle and Summer to Exit?

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that contract negotiations for Michael Mealor and Hunter King have reached a stalemate at The Young and the Restless and that both Kyle and Summer are on their way out.

It would be such a shame to see ‘Skyle’ exit after they were finally given a high-stakes storyline, which took the focus off some of the tired old storylines that Y&R fans have had to become accustomed to in recent years. If a last-minute deal can’t be reached with these actors, hopefully, the show can bring in some new blood as there’s plenty of ‘young’ legacy characters that could return.

Mealor took over the role of Kyle Abbott in 2018 while King first appeared as Summer Newman in 2012 and went recurring from 2016 through 2018 so that she could appear on CBS’s Life in Pieces as a series regular.
