Paramount+ announced a surprise for Star Trek fans at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 22, by revealing that they’d be dropping the anticipated Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Lower Decks crossover episodes early!
The 7th episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ second season,“Those Old Scientists” is now streaming on Crave in Canada.
Update (Aug. 1, 2023): Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is now also streaming on Paramount+ in Canada.
In the episode directed by Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Picard), an accident while investigating a time portal sends Ensigns Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) and Bradward Boimler (Jack Quaid) through time from the 24th century, and Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew must get them back where they belong before they can alter the timeline.
With the early release of Episode 7, the rollout of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ second season has been adjusted with Episode 8 now dropping on Thursday, July 27. Episode 9, a musical episode titled “Subspace Rhapsody” will now stream on Thursday, August 3 with the season finale now scheduled for Thursday, August 10.
For those who watch Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on CTV Sci-Fi, look for Episodes 7 and 8 to air back-to-back this Thursday, July 27 at 7:55 p.m. ET.
