Big Brother Exit Interview: Amy Bingham

amy bingham big brother exit interview season 27

Amy Bingham, the 43-year-old insurance agent from Stockton, California, was the second houseguest to be evicted on the 27th season of Big Brother.

The TV Watercooler had the opportunity to speak with Amy following her eviction, where she discusses if Rachel was aware that they’re friendship put a target on Amy’s back, calling Jimmy’s HOH week a “weenie move,” and how she hopes someone puts up Keanu, Vince and Jimmy.

Picking up to when Julie asked if you had thought your relationship with Rachel hindered your game – could you speak more about that? At what point did you realize that this friendship was possibly hurting your game?

Oh, I knew from day one. Right when I befriended Rachel, I was like, “Oh my gosh, this is what is going to put a target on my back because they know who Rachel is. [We] know her gameplay.”

But, I could not not be her friend! Once we became friends, we became friends! She was about the same age as me and we’re both moms, you know… Mom squad! So, I’m like, “What am I supposed to do?” I’m a loyal friend in real life. I’m a loyal friend in the game.

I get that. You weren’t going to change as a person.

No, I can’t do that.

Did she ever communicate with you that she was aware that a friendship with her could put a target on your back? Did she acknowledge that?

Yeah, I mean I told her – we had conversations about it. She knows that I became a target because of the association and friendship with her. It’s just unfortunate for me!

Who do you think Rachel will lean on next? What advice would you have for them?

I hope she and Ashley can team up. Rachel needs to build connections with anyone she can. I don’t think she’ll make it to the end, though. I think people are going to get her out eventually, probably in the next few weeks.

But, I hope she can stay and play with Ashley. I hope Ashley wins the whole thing!

I think this was a record for nominations thanks to some of the twists! I know he sent you home, but from a game perspective, how well do you think Jimmy’s HOH week went for him?

It’s just a weenie move! I cannot win a comp to save my life. I could not win! I did not win one thing in this house!

I’m not good at comps. I don’t care. I’m not good! It is what it is. So, why get me out? Am I really that much of a threat other than I know that he’s a liar and I want to call his ass out?!

I wanted to call him out so bad in the house. I was so happy that I got to actually say what I wanted to say on my way out. I don’t care if the door hit me on the way out! Good! I’m gonna say what I’m going to say.

We probably had a record number of nominations but also the longest time it took a houseguest to leave the house in a very long time…

[Laughs] I had to say it!

Lauren has won HOH. Do you have any predictions for the week ahead?

I honestly do not know what she’s going to do. I think she’s going to probably play it same to some extent. Maybe put Kelley up? She’s already been up. Put Keanu up, people want him up… and she doesn’t want any blood [on her hands]. I don’t know who else she’s going to put up? Maybe Will as a pawn?

I don’t know where her head is, but [putting] Keanu up would be a safe bet. Most people want him out of the house.

As someone who went up on the block again probably because you went up on the block the first week, and then the same with Kelley – when do you think that’s going to end? When do you think someone will put someone new on the block?

Come on, people! Play the game! Get someone big out of the house!

I would have loved to win [HOH] and put up Keanu, Vince, and Jimmy. That would have been so fun!

Is that who you hope is put up on the block next?

Put up Keanu, Vince and Jimmy – that’s what I would do! Is it good for their game? I don’t know, but it would have been good for my game.

Who will you miss the most?

Ashley and Rachel. Both of them.

Were they the easiest to connect with?

I would say Ashley was probably the easiest to connect with. Rachel was as well, we connected as mammas. But Ashley and I, we’re going to be besties forever, for sure!

Rachel and I too, but for Ashley and I, our souls connected. She’s very sweet!

Other than being away from your kids, what was the hardest part about adjusting to life in the Big Brother house?

You can’t sleep! They keep the lights on until everyone is in bed and people don’t sleep until 3 a.m. or 4 a.m.!

Literally, the first week in the house, I got maybe 15 hours of sleep! So, that whole week, I was sleep deprived and I missed my babies.

I willingly put myself on slop the second week, which was so stupid! I thought it was going to give me some sort of safety, but it didn’t give me anything.

Big Brother airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global and CBS. Canadians can stream Big Brother on STACK TV and the Global TV app.
