Spoilers: Is Rebecca Budig the ‘mother’ of Ted’s kids? 90210’s Silver goes crazy! OTH’s Chad is pissed and more

— Could All My Children’s not-so-dead “real” Greenlee, Rebecca Budig be the mother on How I Met Your Mother? It looks like it could be a strong possibility. Budig, who is married to former Bachelor Bob Guiney will appear as Ted’s (Josh Radnor) new girlfriend Holly towards this season’s final episodes according to Daytime Confidential. Earlier this month, creator/writer/producer Carter Bays told TV Guide that the “mother” issue will be teased towards the end of the season. Soap-vet Budig won over fans during her first tenure on the ABC soap where her devious character schemed and later fell in love with Josh Duhamel’s Leo. ABC brought the actress back last year when she replaced her recast Sabine Singh which led to the much-criticized “The Real Greenlee” promotional campaign. Budig wrapped her role last month after Greens perished in a motorcycle accident on her wedding day to Ryan (Cameron Mathison)…but clues have been left for fans to believe that she survived. Good news for the actress and her fans since the Mickey Mouse corp. made Budig sign a contract stipulating that she cannot appear on any rival network soap for at least a year after her AMC exit.

 — Looks like Naomi (AnnaLynn McCord) will be moving in with the Wilson family on 90210 in the upcoming weeks. The show finally returns next Tuesday when it rips off The Fast and the Furious with a few drag races. Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) will tell Annie (Shenae Grimes) about Ethan (Dustin Milligan) and Rhonda’s kiss. Sick of the Annie stuff? You are not alone…keep your eyes on the Silver (Jessica Stroup) storyline…her obsession with Dixon (Tristan Wilds) will have devastating results and she’ll go over the edge, so much so that Kelly (Jennie Garth) will be forced to bring their drunken-mother Jackie (Ann Gillespie) back into the fold the following week. Apparently Adrianna will want to keep her baby and Navid (Michael Steger) will help her. The pair could become engaged by the end of the season…I guess Brenda (Shannen Doherty) will have to look elsewhere? For those trying to keep up, Tori Spelling is back on April 14th (as well as the 21st) along with Diablo Cody while Jason Priestley directs the April 7th and 14th episodes.

Gossip Girl gets even crazier next week (if that’s possible) when Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) agrees to scheme against the reunited Blair (Leighton Meester) and Nate (Chace Crawford) with Chuck (Ed Westwick). Serena (Blake Lively) will help Jenny (Taylor Momsen) throw a party for her sweet sixteen but things get out of hand when socialite Poppy Lifton (Tamara Feldman) invites a hoard of extra people. We’ll also meet Gabriel (played by Armie Hammer) whom Serena may end up stealing away from Poppy. Spin-off buzz…we may seen younger versions of the original Josh Schwartz hit; The O.C.’s Kirsten Nichol, Jimmy Cooper and former-head-bitch-in-charge Julie.

BSG’s Tricia Helfer guest stars on next week’s episode of Chuck as an agent who is sent to evaluate Sarah’s (Yvonne Strahovski) performance. Meanwhile, Morgan (Joshua Gomez), Jeff (Scott Krinsky) and Lester (Vik Sahay) try to get an invite to Captain Awesome’s (Ryan McPartlin) bachelor party. The following week, Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise) appears as Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Ellie’s (Sarah Lancaster) dad Steve who gets a job with guest star Chevy Chase’s character Ted.

— The Chad is pissed! YouTube user Allee8890 met up with One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray who revealed that the producers of the show aren’t planning to bring him back due to financial reasons. Dose’s Kat Angus has the scoop here. While I may not be the biggest Chad fan out there…couldn’t even stand his characters on Dawson’s Creek and Gilmore Girls before his turn as Lucas Scott…and of course his douchey double-timing on ex-wife and co-star Sophia Bush made the hatred worse. The whole premise of OTH was supposed to be around Lucas/Nathan and their friction with their supervillain father Dan, so why not just end the show and develop a spin-off around Bush’s Brooke? FYI, if you’re looking for the video…the user has removed it. Wonder why she caved?

— Strange casting news for The Office?! Is Pam being replaced? Ausiello is reporting that Ellie Kemper has been cast as the new receptionist. Gasp.

Rebecca is a super talented actress. Any primetime show would be lucky to have her. In fact, HIMYM would be wise to keep her on. As for AMC, I don’t see her going back again. So it doesn’t matter if there’s a non compete clause. She has outgrown the soap world IMO. Her star is definitely on the rise in Hollywood!
