I was able to check out Lauren Conrad‘s live appearance at MTV’s Toronto studios this past Monday where she previewed the upcoming (and her final) season of The Hills. The show aired live on MTV across North America at 10pm and can also be seen on MTV.ca.
Hosts Dan Levy and Jessi Cruickshank dived right into Lauren’s feud with Heidi. Lauren discussed her favourite memories of Heidi. Although it may appear that things are going to be slowly getting better for them, Lauren lashed out at Stephanie for inviting Heidi to her surprise party. Lauren doesn’t seem mad at Stephanie, she understands where she’s coming from, in terms of trying to reunite old friends. Looks like fans will need to keep an eye out for the She-Pratt this season. Could Steph also be causing some trouble with LC’s ex, Brody? Steph tells Audrina to use Brody to make Justin jealous. Lauren didn’t seem to be upset by this either…she was actually in the other room and heard everything.
Of course with this being early 2009, they just had to mention the Twitter craze…Lauren has no idea what it is but they did tell her about Spencer’s tweets. Tabloid-wise, Lauren talked about Paris and Doug…she thinks that they make a “cute little blonde couple.” That crazy Jen Bunney will return! She’ll show up at a BBQ the night before Lauren and Lo move out of their house. There could very well be a real wedding for Speidi but Lauren could not talk about it. Lauren also talked about Brody and Spencer’s reunion. Spencer seems really “lost” in the clip as he and Brody talk about Spencer’s bar fight with Cameron over the rumors he’s been telling Heidi. Lauren confirms that they are now “friendly”. Brody loves to give advice.
There was no mention of Lauren’s boyfriend Kyle Howard (from My Boys). There was an online report that stated Kyle wouldn’t be appearing on The Hills this season because their relationship does not follow this season’s “narrative”…either that or TBS wouldn’t let him appear on other shows.
MTV Canada also put together a bunch of really good montages: Lauren/Heidi in the beginning, Supervillain Spencer, the show from a young child’s point of view and Where’s Frankie?! They was no mention of that Frankie/Rihanna situation. Lauren also said that the entire cast did a photoshoot last week. I’ll have those photos for you in the next couple of days.
