The Game scores big for BET, the new Charlie’s Angels, 90210 goes Avatar more

Suck it CW! BET’s revived The Game scored 7.7 million viewers in the U.S. on Tuesday night with it’s one-hour season premiere. The Gilfriends spin-off was barely averaging 2 million on The CW during its 2006-2009 run.

— Greg Daniels told TV Line that Steve Carell will be leaving The Office before the season finale: “Our basic plan is to see the jockeying and interviewing [for Michael’s job], and not have that happen off-camera…We’d rather play out the stories of the various characters who want that seat, and show them fight for it.”

— ABC has greenlit the new Charlie’s Angels pilot that will be produced by Drew Barrymore, Nancy Juvonen (Jimmy Fallon’s wife) and Leonard Goldberg. Smallville’s Miles Millar and Al Gough are also attached to the pilot. The internet is buzzing with castings suggestions that include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Katie Cassidy and Summer Glau. So far, only Robert Wagner has been cast as [the voice of] Charlie. The modern take on the 70s series will be set in Miami.

Jason Ritter will be returning to Parenthood for an episode later this season when Sarah goes to him for advice.

David E. Kelley thinks that NBC might still consider his Wonderman reboot.

— Sad news, Amber Tamblyn’s stint on House will wrap up this spring.

— Personally, I was also on Team Zack, but in no way did Slater deserve this! Police were called to a restaurant after an angry customer shattered a framed photo of A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez). The man told the owner of the restaurant that “I just don’t like Slater,” after he took the photo down from its place above the urinal and smashed it on the floor.
