Soap News: Daytime Emmy Winners and Pics

The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were held in Las Vegas last night. Here are the winners from all the major daytime drama categories:

General Hospital‘s Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) won Outstanding Supporting Actor.

The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Heather Tom (Katie) won Outstanding Supporting Actress.

– Former All My Children star Brittany Allen (ex-Marissa) won Outstanding Younger Actress.

The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Scott Clifton (Liam) won Outstanding Younger Actor.

–  Michael Park (ex-Jack) gave As The World Turns one final win as the actor was awarded the Outstanding Actor trophy. The actor was unable to make it to the ceremony because he’s currently starring on Broadway’s “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” with Daniel Radcliffe.

General Hospital‘s Laura Wright (Carly) won Outstanding Actress and noted her 20 years in the soap industry. Wright previously appeared on Guiding Light and Loving.

The Bold and The Beautiful and The Young and the Restless tied for best directing, while Y&R won for best writing.

The Bold and the Beautiful was also named the best daytime drama for the third year in a row.
