Following each episode of The Real Housewives of Vancouver, a cast member has blogged about their experience on the show for Dose.ca. This week, for the season finale, the show’s Senior Director, Mike Bickerton shares his thoughts about Jody and Mia showing up to Mary’s song release party, Ronnie finally standing up for Mary and what to expect in the two-part reunion special which he’ll be hosting.

Those who watch reality television don’t always believe in the “reality” of the situation, but this show is all about reality. The people on the show have real history from before the show even started and, in the finale, the history between Mia and local restauranteur Peter Girges popped up in a way that we didn’t expect.

The episode picks up after Jody and Mia arrived at Mary’s song release charity party at Chinois. If there’s one thing people should know about Jody, it’s that she does do a lot of charity work and puts her money to good causes. She has the same expectations of her daughter and that’s why Jody showed up at Chinois — to support the charity fundraiser.

The season ends with a final showdown between Jody and the rest of the women over lunch at one of Vancouver’s hottest restaurants. Filming the lunch at Hawksworth was as intense an experience as it appears on the show. There were so many “wow, I can’t believe she said that!” moments. I think that the viewers will be really happy for Mary that her friend Ronnie finally said something like, “I was wrong, I should have supported you.” You never know what’s going to come out of Ronnie’s mouth. She’s a total wildcard, so she could have either taken a slice at Mary or could have supported and embraced her; it was really anybody’s guess at how it would have gone down.

The reunion show picks up six months after the final scenes were filmed and viewers get to find out what’s been happening since. In the closing moments of the season finale, it’s revealed that Christina hasn’t spoken to any of the other housewives since the last show and Reiko and Jody’s friendship is non-existent over a dispute at the store, which are both big questions that we talk about at the reunion. We will also find out what’s happened between Mary and Ronnie, as well as the scandalous situation with Christina and Jody/Mia.  A lot of unanswered questions will be addressed.

The reunion show is a chance for all five of the women to get together and address things that they haven’t had a chance to say before.  Trust me when I say that all of them came to set with a lot on their mind and a LOT to say.

The two-part reunion show airs Wednesday, June 27th and July 4th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Slice. Stay tuned to The TV Watercooler next week for more with Mike Bickerton as he previews The Real Housewives of Vancouver reunion show.

Yes, Ronnie, you are supposed to stand up for your friends, especially your so called best friend, no matter what. Thats what loyalty is. What you’re using as an excuse “Jody was nice to ME” is a bunch of bullshit. The truth is that you loved it that someone liked you better than Mary and you got off on Jody’s horridness. Pray tell, if someone was awful to Russell or one of your kids yet nice to you, would you have treated them the same as Mary? Would you tell Russell “Oh but he is nice to me”?
You somewhat vindicated yourself in the finale but your true colors were shown throughout the season. You are a 3 times married mother who embarrassed your children on tv. If not for Russel’s money (odd your husbands name is the same as Taylor’s husband’s name, your bff), you’d be nothing and certainly not liked by Jody or pursued by Lark.
Instead of trying to launch a fictional wine called Rehab, you need to work on some introspection and gaining some self awareness and self honesty. Stop patting yourself on the back and get real.
Oh and your continued jealousy of Mary is apparent in your interviews, blogs, twitter and Facebook. You are so narcissistic “I can afford to tell the truth and look good doing it.” Do you think you are really hot or something? Who’s been feeding you that line? As for the truth, start with yourself. You have the most potential of the housewives but need to work on your character defects.
