Although commissioned by Lifetime, the film won’t air on Shaw’s Lifetime Canada specialty channel, but on Bell Media’s re-branded MuchMoreMusic channel. M3 will also air a five-hour marathon of some of the best episodes of Saved by the Bell – including the crew’s first exposure to drugs, Kelly falling for her boss and the Casey Kasem-narrated “Rockumentary” about Zack Attack. The fun all starts at 4 p.m.

The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story is based on Dustin Diamond’s (Screech) 2009 book, Behind the Bell, in addition to interviews conducted for the production. Filmed in Vancouver, the TV movie stars Dylan Everett (Degrassi) as Mark-Paul Gosselaar (aka Zack), Sam Kindseth (Shameless) as Dustin Diamond (Screech), Julian Works (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) as Mario Lopez (Slater), Tiera Skovbye (Supernatural) as Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie), Taylor Russell McKenzie (Blink) as Lark Voorhies (Lisa), Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Kelly) Ken Tremblett (Caitlin’s Way) as Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding).

Let’s hope the original cast live-tweet this mess along with the rest of us…
