Anyone else booking a return trip to Roswell this January?
Roswell, New Mexico, the second adaptation of the popular Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz, will premiere this Tuesday, January 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showcase in Canada. The series will air at the same time on The CW in the U.S. The original series, Roswell, ran for three seasons (the first two on The WB, the last on UPN) from 1999-2002.
The new series will focus on a more grown-up version of Liz (Jeanine Mason), who is the daughter of undocumented immigrants who returns to her hometown and discovers that her teenage crush is an alien. This version of Max will be played by Nathan Parsons (General Hospital), who is a police officer but has kept his identity a secret his entire life. Lily Cowles plays Isobel, Max’s sister, while Michael Vlamis will play Michael — who have each also kept their identities secret.
Michael Trevino (The Vampire Diaries) plays Kyle, the son of the town sheriff, who discovers his family’s dark past. Heather Hemmens plays Liz’s best friend, Maria. Tyler Blackburn (Ravenswood) plays army vet Alex, while Karan Oberoi will portray Isobel’s husband, Noah. One Life to Live vets Trevor St. John and Sherri Saum will recur as Jesse and Mimi.
