Big Brother had its first live double eviction of the summer last Thursday night with Shelli and Jackie being evicted all within an hour of each other. The TV Watercooler was able to have a quit chat with these evicted houseguests before they were sequestered off to the jury house.

Here’s our first exit interview from that night with Shelli Poole, the 33-year-old interior designer from Georgia.

Clay mentioned that you were both the swing votes to keep Jason and vote out Austin instead. Looking back, do you regret this decision? Would you have kept Jason instead and gone against Vanessa?

No, we would have voted out Becky. However, yes, going against the backdoor plan for Austin was the biggest regret of the season.

Becky’s plan was to backdoor Vanessa but you’re the one the house sent home. What went wrong? At what point (if any) did you realize that you were the one being sent home instead of Vanessa?

It came down to the wire. The Goblins kept going back and forth and it wasn’t until the last hour that I knew what was going down.

There’s no denying that you and Clay were strong – you had the power for the first month – but looking back, do you think working with Clay and being in such a strong showmance hurt your chances?

Let’s be honest, I don’t regret anything of my time spent with Clay. The Big Brother house is an emotionally sensitive place and you need that backbone, which he provided for me.

If you had the opportunity to go back in the house, who would you align yourself with?

I’d align myself with either Steve and John or Becky and Jackie. [Note: At the time of the interview, Shelli was not aware that Jackie was voted out right after her]

Big Brother airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Global and CBS.
