— Finally, something positive for General Hospital fans! On Friday (March 11) it was announced the Rebecca Herbst had inked a new deal with ABC to stay on as Nurse Elizabeth Webber.
The veteran star, who’ll celebrate 20 years on the soap next year, gave an interview to TV Insider and thank her legions of fans. “They literally got me through the contract [talks] day by day. When I was doubting myself, and thinking that I might not be able to stay on Gh, I would read their comments on the Internet and feel so secure in whatever decision I made. I knew I was going to be okay, no matter what.”
While Herbst didn’t specify she was on her way to NBC’s Days of our Lives, fans of the genre may want to give a listen to the latest Daytime Confidential podcast over here for that tea… As well as how the stars of GH weren’t aware they were shooting a new promo to usher in the return of Michael Easton. It’s a good listen.
