As CBC unveiled premiere dates for the fall 2017 television season, they confirmed that they’ll begin broadcasting six episodes of Coronation Street a week — beginning Monday, September 18. The move coincides with ITV’s decision to broadcast six episodes a week this fall in the UK as well.
Corrie will now air back-to-back episodes on Mondays beginning at 7 p.m. (7:30 NT). The 7:30 p.m. (8 NT) weekday broadcasts will continue.
Same-day reruns are likely to continue overnight, as will the omnibus edition on Sunday mornings. Coronation Street is also available to stream on the CBC TV app and cbc.ca/watch. CBC is approximately two weeks behind the ITV airings.
