Update: April 13 — Bell Media announced this morning that Killing Eve will air exclusively on Bravo in Canada. No premiere date has been set yet, but it is expected to air this summer on the Canadian specialty network. The series will stream on CraveTV following its 8-episode first season run on Bravo.
Canadians hoping to catch buzz-worthy new series Killing Eve may just have to settle on the premiere episode as no Canadian broadcaster has been named ahead of the show’s U.S. debut on BBC America this Sunday, April 8.
Adapted for television by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and based on the novellas by Luke Jennings, Killing Eve stars Canadian actress Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy) as Eve Polastri, a board MI5 security officer who yearns for a more exciting life way from her desk. When a Russian politician is murdered, Eve is tasked with protecting the only witness and soon finds herself on a collision course with a violent and extraordinary assassin, Villanelle (played by Doctor Foster’s Jodie Comer).
Shot on location throughout Paris, Tuscany, Berlin, Cheshunt and London, Killing Eve has already been renewed for a second season. The series also stars Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Downward Dog), Kim Bosnia (The Bridge), David Haig (Penny Dreadful), Darren Boyd (Stan Lee’s Lucky Man), Sean Delaney (Midsomer Murders) and Owen McDonnell (Paula).
