Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) took to Twitter on Thursday (September 20) to clarify that he is not leaving The Young and the Restless – he’s simply taken a vacation. You got that?!
Although on vacation, the actor did take time to discuss the casting changes going on over at Y&R: “I normally don’t express my opinions regarding the casting on Y&R! That’s the privilege of those who produce the show! However, this is a time when I have to make an exception! I’m still on vacation, hence my comment comes a little late: to let Dougie Davidson go is an egregious mistake. My plea to management: we have lost some all-time fan favourites! D Davidson has been with the show for, I think, 39 years, and people have loved him! Same for Christian LeBlanc, Greg Rikaart, Eileen Davidson (who left on her own volition)!”
This week on The Young and the Restless: Victor makes amends with Matt (Richard Gleason) on Monday (September 24; Canadian airdates listed). Summer (Hunter King) tests Mariah (Camryn Grimes) while Jack receives news about his paternity.
On Tuesday (September 25), Sharon (Sharon Case) decides to come clean. Nick (Joshua Morrow) makes a shocking decision. Devon (Bryton James) struggles to move on.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) sounds an alarm on Wednesday (September 26). Sharon opens up to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). Billy (Jason Thompson) finds himself in hot water.
On Thursday (September 27), Lily (Christel Khalil) makes a confession. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) joins forces with Abby (Melissa Ordway). Ashley (Eileen Davidson) takes control.
Temp Recast: Bayley Corman will temporarily fill in for Hunter King as Summer (who also stars on CBS’ Life in Pieces) for three episodes beginning September 28 (Canadian airdate).
