Gregg Araki and Steven Soderbergh’s Now Apocalypse will debut this Sunday, March 10, at 10 p.m. ET on STARZ, which recently launched in Canada, as a rebrand of Bell Media’s Encore premium movie channel.
STARZ is also available as an add-on to Crave for $5.99/month. The network also features Power, Party Down, The Girlfriend Experience, Vida and Sweetbitter. Highly anticipated spy-thriller The Rook will debut this summer.
Now Apocalypse, which debuted at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, follows Ulysses and his friends as they explore identity, sexuality, and artistry while navigating the strange and oftentimes bewildering city of Los Angeles. Ulysses grows increasingly troubled as foreboding premonitory dreams make him wonder if some kind of dark and monstrous conspiracy is going on, or if he is just smoking too much weed.
Slutever host Karley Sciortino co-wrote the series with Araki and also serves as a consulting producer. Now Apocalypse stars Canadian ator Avan Jogia (Twisted), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Kelli Burglund (Animal Kingdom), Beau Mirchoff (Awkward.) and Roxane Mesquida (Gossip Girl).
