Canadians hoping to catch new Hulu anthology series The Act will be able to watch it on Bell Media’s recently launched STARZ beginning Wednesday, March 20.
The new series stars Patricia Arquette, Joey King, Chloë Sevigny and AnnaSophia Robb and is based on the 2016 Buzzfeed article “Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom Murdered,” by Michelle Dean (who also serves as the show’s co-creator and executive producer).
In The Act, Gypsy Blanchard (King) tries to escape the toxic relationship that she has with her overprotective mother, Dee Dee (Arquette). Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s Box of secrets — one that ultimately leads to murder!
The first two episodes of The Act will be made available through the STARZ streaming platform in Canada (via Crave) and on demand this Wednesday, March 20 at 6 a.m. ET, with subsequent episodes premiering weekly each Wednesday at the same time. Episode 1 will make its debut on the STARZ linear channel this Sunday, March 24, at 9 p.m. ET, with each episode airing weekly at the same time.
STARZ in Canada is available as two linear channels and the on demand platform through participating television providers as well as an add on to Crave.
