Following her Golden Globes win for The Farewell (Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy), Awkwafina is headed to Much with her new Comedy Central series Awkwafina is Nora from Queens, which will premiere on Wednesday, January 22, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT – the same slot as the U.S. Following its broadcast premiere, episodes will be available the following day on demand and to stream on

Based on the actress and writer’s humble beginnings, Awkwafina is Nora from Queens follows Awkwafina as she navigates young adulthood in the outer New York City borough alongside her father, grandmother, and cousin – played by BD Wong (Mr. Robot), Lori Tan Chinn (Orange is the New Black), and Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live).

The 10-episode first season’s slate of guest stars include Michelle Buteau (Always Be My Maybe), Jaime Chung (The Gifted), Laverne Cox (Orange is the New Black), Jennifer Esposito (The Boys), Simu Lu (Kim’s Convenience), Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll), Harry Shum Jr. (Glee), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) AND Jaboukie Young-White (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah).
