The third season of Shakespeare and Hathaway: The Private Investigators starring Jo Joyner (EastEnders) and Mark Benton (Northern Lights) had its premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Ten new episodes of the third season will air weekly.

Seasons four through seven of All Creatures Great and Small is another addition to BritBox this October wherein 1937, a young and newly-qualified surgeon arrives in a rural Yorkshire village to take up his first job in an established veterinary practice.

Arriving Tuesday, Oct. 13, is the Play for Today collection, a star-studded anthology series that includes original plays and adaptions of stage plays and novels in honour of the BBC’s single drama’s 50th anniversary. Titles include Hard Labour, Home Sweet Home and Who’s Who from director Mike Leigh; Kisses at 50 directed by Michael Apted, and Soft Targets starring Helen Mirren.

My Family Secrets, a 15-part series which captures the discovery of deep family secrets premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Six seasons of BBC drama New Tricks, which follows the lives of one senior police detective and three retired officers, premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Just in time for Halloween, the haunting period drama, The Turn of the Screw starring Jodhi May (Emma) and Colin Firth (Pride and Prejudice) premieres on Friday, Oct. 30.

For soap fans, new episodes of Emmerdale are added on weekdays in both Canada and the U.S. EastEnders and Coronation Street episodes are also added in the U.S. – Canadians can watch EastEnders on Vision TV and Coronation Street on CBC and CBC Gem.
