Nicole Layog was the latest houseguest to be evicted from the Big Brother house. We caught up with Nicole following her eviction to discuss her apology to Taylor, if Daniel regrets using the Veto, and if any of her alliance members gave her a heads up that she was going to be voted out.

Why was there so much animosity towards Taylor? Help some of those who don’t have access to the life feeds understand this.

I can’t speak for the other houseguests, but what I can say is that I was told that she was rubbing people the wrong way and that the majority of them wanted her out of the house.

Did you really blame her for Paloma leaving?

Personally, no. I don’t blame her for Paloma leaving at all.

Taylor came to you when she thought you were having a rough time due to personal reasons and said that you could have sat that Veto competition out if you needed to. Why did you help change the narrative there? You let the house believe that she told you to just throw the Veto.

I think that in the moment, and in the situation of it, I’ll need to watch back and see exactly what transpired because my emotions were high. There was a lot going on at that time in the house. What I felt that I heard, I definitely overreacted and want to be able to go back in that moment with Taylor as well, when she gets out of the Big Brother house to address that as well.

When did you realize you were headed home? Did any of your alliance members come to you and give you a heads up?

No, there was no more alliance. [Laughs] Daniel came up to me and I was like, “Dude, I know. I don’t need the pity party.” But at the same time, I was trying to figure out in my head how to strategize. “What can I do? What are the last-ditch efforts? We need a Hail Mary.”

I got together with Daniel, and I also got together with Terrance, and we tried a lot of different tactics, and it didn’t work. And obviously, now that I know about “The Leftovers,” it never would have worked! I never should have been on the block but here I am!

Did Daniel tell you if he regrets using the Veto?

I don’t remember! Honestly, that, I don’t remember. If he did say it, thanks for apologizing! This is my own demise. I take full responsibility for my being outside of the Big Brother house.

Do you think the girls voted strategically? It was 9-1. Did they talk to you about their votes?

No, I knew. I just had a feeling. The writing was on the wall. I knew what was going on. Strategically for them, I’m happy that they voted with the house.

Daniel didn’t. Do you think this will put a big target on his back for this upcoming week?

Yes and no. I think that there were a couple of confrontations that occurred while I was campaigning for myself while he was doing his own thing. I think that that would be his demise if anything. Everyone knew that we were thick as thieves, so him giving me that one vote was him just showing his loyalty to me.

I’ve read that you actually apologized to Taylor. Can you shed some light on that?

I’ve been apologizing to Taylor since a day or two since the incident occurred in the bathroom and in the back room. I apologize for the things that I recognize that I’ve done. I wanted to make sure that [me] leaving this house, she understood that I care about her. I want to be better.

Going forward, I want us to have some sort of relationship. I truly believe that she and I will be able to sit down when she gets out of the Big Brother house and we can watch these things together, we can reflect, and I can grow and learn. I’m all for it.

I’m still learning, I’m still growing, and I’m still changing. I’m happy that I was able to share that with her because we were able to tell each other that we loved one another and it’s amazing how you can have strong feelings for someone after 30 days.

Do you also have Rihanna stuck in your head since the eviction?

Oh my god! So amazing. I’m so happy that you brought that up! Listen, Taylor is savage. This girl is going to kill it in this game. The last thing that I said to her, while we were sitting on that couch, was “What did I say to you a week ago?” She just smirked at me. I continued, “Keep fighting. Do not play someone else’s game. When you get the chance, you take that swing and hit it out of the park.” I meant that 100 percent. She needs to keep fighting, and work through it and get to the end.
