Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which premiered in theatres earlier this summer, is now streaming on Paramount+ in Canada and the U.S. The film is the latest in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise based on the characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman.
With an impressive score of 96% Fresh Rotten Tomatoes score, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem stars Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, Paul Rudd, Ayo Edebiri, Maya Rudolph, Hannibal Burress, Natasia Demetriou, John Cena, Rose Byrne, and Seth Rogen. Rogen also wrote and produced the film alongside Evan Goldberg and Jeff Rowe.
After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers (Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael) set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
Paramount+ has also announced a new original series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which will hit the streaming platform in 2024. Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon will reprise the roles of Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey as the Turtles are challenged like never before as they are faced with new threats and team up with old allies. The new series will have the Turtles discover who they really are when they don’t always have their brothers at their side.
As of September 19, 2023, the first two seasons of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series from 1987 are now streaming on Paramount+, joining the other more recent animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 2003-2009, 2012-2017, as well as Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series from 2018-2020.
