Big Brother Exit Interview: Izzy Gleicher

Izzy Gleicher was the latest houseguest to be evicted on Big Brother. The TV Watercooler had the opportunity to chat with Izzy following her eviction to see how differently she’d reveal to Cirie and Jared that she knew about their relationship, underestimating Cory’s relationship with America, and how disappointed she’d be if Cirie blew up her own game for Jared.

It was quite the week! Cameron wanted chaos, and I think he delivered. Have you been able to decompress from it all since you’ve been home?

Oh yeah, I mean I think the thing that is making me the most happy since my eviction is actually knowing that Cameron had nothing to do with it other than nominating me in the first place! I have found comfort in that…but also discomfort in other things!

It seemed like you were placing the blame on Cory as you were leaving. Is that still the case?

I don’t think it’s 100% Cory. I think I’ve had time to analyze and think about my own mistakes that led to me sitting here… Yeah, I just have to live with it.

I think I underestimated Cory’s relationship with America and I overestimated his relationship with me. The reality is that America is Cory’s number one, just like Cirie was my number. Cory was my number two. I don’t think I managed my relationship with Cory very well.

Meeting Cirie in the house obviously changed the trajectory of your game plan coming into the house.

Of course. I mean, I wasn’t expecting to see Cirie or her son. I also think about my mistakes on that very first night, walking in covered in goo and then being all excited and overwhelmed by all that. I wish that I could have changed what I did on that first day, but I don’t regret working with them and I don’t regret keeping their secret.

Do you regret telling them you knew their secret right away?

I think I would have just revealed that I knew in a calmer way, at a more opportune time.

But as a reality TV viewer, I understood how you get so excited at that moment… Who do you think was the most untrustworthy or who are you the most disappointed in?

I feel a little bit disappointed in Jared.  Wouldn’t say that he’s untrustworthy. I worked really hard to manoeuvre us in such a way that meant that all three of us were safe, but I wasn’t really on top of his priority list.

And I feel a little hurt by that.

Do you think Cirie would blow up her own game for Jared?

I’m not surprised [if she did]. I’m disappointed because I love and respect Cirie. I think she’s the best social player in the house, so I want to see her thrive.

Other than Cirie, who are you rooting for?

I am [still] rooting for Jared, but you know, I think Cory is very smart, and I would like to see Cory go far in the game [as well].

Big Brother next airs this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Global and CBS.
