Big Brother Exit Interview: Quinn Martin

quinn martin big brother exit interview season 26

Big Brother’s Quinn Martin was the latest houseguest evicted and the first jury member. The TV Watercooler had the opportunity to submit questions for this week’s jury pool and Quinn revealed to us what he’s most looking forward to watching from this season and if he was really named after Jerry O’Connell’s character from Sliders!

Is there a particular moment you cannot wait to watch from this season when you get home?

I would love to see what went into Joseph’s eviction. I want to know how desperately if it was Kimo’s speech that actually changed [the outcome]. Chelsie blamed Leah, but Makensy said that it was the speech that changed her mind. I’m curious if that is true. I would love to watch the “Hide and Go Veto” competition because I think that everyone is so hilarious!

I want to see how my boy Cam was being portrayed on the show because he was so funny! I’m curious to see how his sense of humour would shine through.

There isn’t a second of this show that I’m not excited to watch. The moment I have access to Paramount+, I’m going to clock in! I’m going to do my due diligence to make sure I’m up to speed on all things BB26!

I am so excited at the opportunity to watch the show, but I think that the big moments are going to be Joseph’s eviction and the Hide and Go Veto competition.

Were you really named after Jerry O’Connell’s character from Sliders? Did meeting Jerry soften the blow of not meeting Julie Chen Moonves?

I’m pretty sure that I was named after Quinn! Maybe not from Sliders – it’s not like my mom was lime, “I love this show and my son is going to continue the legacy! This name rocks!” But, I do think that my mom heard the name “Quinn” from that show and thought to herself, “What sick, nasty name. My son is going to be so charming, cool, and have awesome hair.”

Did it soften the blow? I got the sense that Jerry thought I was disappointed not to meet Julie but in my mindset, Julie and I are going to be besties after this and hang out recreationally. So, I can look beyond that!

Kangaroo Jack is my third favourite movie! That’ s not a joke. Check my Letterboxd and you’ll see that that’s true! I was so excited [to meet Jerry]. I wanted to ask him if he can really beat box like he did when he was driving that Jeep. I wanted to know if that was something he hand to learn for the learn. I was so excited to meet him, I just couldn’t believe it.

I’m going to meeting Julie on finale night, so this feels like a win, win… Or a Quinn, Quinn!

Some highlights from the other questions that Quinn answered:

Disappointment in Being Evicted: “I am someone who loves to win but hates to lose.” Quinn expressed significant disappointment and frustration over his exit, believing that he didn’t do enough to secure his spot to continue.

Saving Lisa: Looking back, Quinn regrets not utilizing his earlier influence to save Lisa, believing that it would have drastically changed the game. “I think that it would have been a completely different game if we got rid of Angela instead of Lisa.”

Angela’s Antics: Quinn criticized Angela’s behaviour in the house and believed getting rid of her earlier would have been beneficial. “Angela is someone who needs to go home. She called me a narcissist and lashed out at me in front of a lot of people. Her antics were unacceptable at the time and still aren’t.”

Chelsie’s Gameplay: Quinn was impressed by Chelsie’s dynamic gameplay but is concerned about her overly complex strategy. “I’m nervous that if she continues speaking in a way where she’s not committing [to something specific to another player], it might impact her ability to win the game. I still think that she’s playing a phenomenal game. I told her that her gameplay reminded me of Danielle Reyes, and I do stand on that. She’s such a dynamic person.”

Leah’s Potential: Quinn also praised Leah’s ability to survive and expressed hope for her to reach the finale. “I’m also hoping that Leah shocks the nation and pulls off some crazy move!”

Rubina and Tucker: Quinn declined to work with Rubina due to her alliance with Tucker. “Working with Rubina meant that I would have had to work with Tucker, and he was foaming at the mouth to murder me in the game!”

Jury House Wishes: Quinn hopes to see Kimo, Makensy, and Angela follow him to the jury house. “If Kimo or Makensy follow me, then that means something crazy is going on in the game and that each side is battling for power. I’d like to see who makes it out on the other end.
