Big Brother Exit Interview: Kelley Jorgensen

kelley jorgensen big brother exit interview season 27

Kelley Jorgensen was the first houseguest to be evicted during Big Brother 27’s “Double Eviction” episode on September 18. The TV Watercooler had the opportunity to submit questions to Kelley before she entered the jury house.

The 29-year-old web designer from Burbank, South Dakota, spoke about her personal struggles, game strategy, and the betrayal by her “Final Two” partner, Vince.

On Personal Hardship and Strategy

  • Going without comfort: Kelley revealed that the hardest part of her time in the house was not receiving a letter or photos from home, which she desperately needed for “confirmation that my family still loves me.”
  • She was annoying on purpose: Her goal was to be “annoying on purpose” and instigate, a strategy she felt was successful because she is a “very regular person” outside of the house.
  • Successful Move: The most satisfying example was planting the seed that led to the Keanu and Jimmy feud, which she says no one knows she started.
  • Backfired Move: The incident where she simply narrated that Rachel had two glasses of wine and caused a major commotion, which she called the “Winegate incident,” was a move that backfired for her.
  • The “Block Plague”: She believes that constantly being “on the block” impacted her ability to play the game, as it was very difficult to form alliances. Houseguests would clear a room when she entered (a “block plague”), not wanting to be associated with her. BUT she does note that this is how she got close with Keanu.

On Vince and Her Exit Speech:

  • The Betrayal: Kelley stated that her final words to the house only “scratched the surface” of Vince’s betrayal. When asked what else she would’ve warned the houseguests about Vince, she simply said, “There’s a lot more that could be said about Vince.”
  • Vince’s HOH: Kelley claimed that Morgan actually won Vince’s most recent Head of Household, and that it was “nice of her” to let Vince make “some decisions.”
  • The Speech: Her final speech, where she exposed Vince’s game, was always planned. She called it the “new killer speech option” and had it “locked and loaded” for over a month, ready to deliver if he ever voted her out or put her on the block again.
  • Jury Vote: Despite being betrayed, she stated she does not “hold a grudge” and will be an “unbiased juror.” She also quipped, “I hope Vince follows me into the jury house today.”

Proudest Move and Biggest Regret

  • Proudest move: She is most proud of the entire game she played, including the instigating and fight-starting, as it was part of her strategy, and “most of the time they worked.”
  • Biggest Regret: Was not being friends with Rachel. She joked that she wished she had told the houseguests to change their toothbrushes and hidden them on her ay out.

Big Brother next airs Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. and Thursday, September 25 at 8 p.m. on CBS and Global TV.
