— Fans of The Young and the Restless have been waiting months for this week. The new material written by head writer Sally Sussman Morina and consultant Kay Alden begins airing this week. Chuck Pratt’s final episode airs on Monday (Dec. 5) in Canada where Travis (Michael Roark) steps past the line with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) on Monday (Dec. 5; Canadian episode) while Victor (Eric Braeden) senses trouble.
In an interview with TV Insider’s Michael Logan in September, the soap scribe previewed that the show would be getting back to recreating the Y&R of old, where the show wouldn’t be driven by plot or incident. Tuesday’s (Dec. 6) Canadian episode is when fans can set Y&R back on their PVRs as the Abbotts bring back a family tradition. Nick (Joshua Morrow) feels that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is taking sides. Victoria accepts the truth about Travis.

— Tristan Lake Leabu has been cast as a SORASed Reed Hellstrom. The actor previously appeared on Superman Returns and Hawaii Five-0. The actor began taping as Victoria and JT’s son on November 15.
— Rights to All My Children and One Life To Live have been reverted back to ABC from Prospect Park. But we aren’t exactly sure what this means yet.
