Cobie does Maxim, Tina Fey answers fan questions, casting notes and more

How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders covers the December issue of Maxim. Here are some pics…and yeah, I don’t know why there are two separate covers – but I like.

— Some castings notes: Malcolm-Jamal Warner (Theo from The Cosby Show) will guest star on Community later this season as Andre, Shirley’s (Yvette Nicole Brown) ex-husband. 90210’s Trevor Donovan (Teddy) will guest star on CSI as a Spartan who tells Nick (George Eads)that he was robbed in a Casino bathroom. The episode is expected to air in early January. Behrooz’s mom from 24 (Shohreh Aghdashloo) will guest star on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit this January. Meanwhile, Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris (Hank) will make an appearance on Law & Order: Los Angeles as the father of a college student. Although Will Arnett is unsure about the future of Running Wilde, I hope it lasts for a while so we can see Jeffrey Tambor play his dad again (Arrested Development reunion!). Dave Navarro will guest star as himself on One Tree Hill later this season (this would have been somewhat cool six years ago).

Nancy O’Dell will replace Mary Hart on Entertainment Tonight after she retires. Did you know that Mary Hart is 60? Shocking. As for O’Dell taking over for Hart, I guess it could have been worse.

— So, based on this, according to my television viewing habits I’d be a Democrat if I were American (phrew!).

— Here’s this awesome clip of Tina Fey answering the fan questions for a special airing on PBS this Friday where she’s being awarded the Mark Twin Prize for Comedy.
