Soap Casting Notes: Carrie returns to DAYS, AMC’s Damon is Out, Victor’s ghost wives and more

Christie Clark will return to Days of our Lives as Carrie in early February. Although the return seems to be short-term, hopefully they’ll bring her back fulltime.

— DAYS has also recast the role of Abby Deveraux, last played by Pretty Little LiarsAshley Benson in 2007. Kate Mansi assumes the role of Jack and Jennifer’s daughter in mid-February.

All My Children has let actor Finn Wittrock (Damon) go. ABC has yet to announce a final airdate.

— Meanwhile, Debbie Morgan (Angie) will be taking a break from AMC so that she can deal with a personal matter.

— AMC has also announced that Daniel Cosgrove (ex-Chris, ATWT; ex-Bill, GL; ex-Matt, 90210) returns as Scott on December 27th.

The Bold and the Beautiful will welcome back fan-favourite Mick Cain (C.J. Garrison) on December 21st and 22nd. Sally and Clark’s son will sell his café, Insomnia, to Stephanie (who’ll get Dayzee to run it). C.J. is also expected to share scenes with ex, Amber. Cain told Soap Opera Digest that “It was great coming back and seeing everyone again.” As for C.J.’s whereabouts (he was last seen onscreen 2007), Cain told CBS Soaps in Depth that “He’s supposedly been living up in San Francisco, so you can kind of let your imagination run wild with that one.”

— B&B has also announced that Desperate HousewivesKathryn Joosten (Karen McCluskey) will appear on the show’s 6,000th episode (airing Feb. 7th) as herself when Stephanie and Nick visit real-life lung cancer patients and survivors.

— The two dead ex-wives of Victor Newman will pay him a visit on the December 22nd show (airs Dec. 23rd in the U.S.). Signy Coleman (ex-Hope) and Raya Meddine (ex-Sabrina) will reprises their roles in a ghostly fashion.
