Last summer’s hit series UnREAL will return for its second season beginning Monday, June 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime Canada.

In the season premiere, Rachel (Shiri Appleby) sets out to change history by casting the first African American suitor now that Quinn (Constance Zimmer) has given her a promotion for Everlasting’s 14th season. Look for Chet (Craig Bierko) to return to set and try to reclaim control of the show.

B.J. Britt joins the cast as the new suitor, football star Darius Hill while Josh Kelly (One Live to Live) and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman return as Jeremy and Jay. TV Line reported on Monday (May 23) that season one suitor Adam (Freddie Stroma) will make an appearance this season. Stroma recently became engaged his UnREAL season one co-star Johanna Braddy (Quantico). The actor will also be seen on upcoming episodes of Game of Thrones (as Samwell’s brother, Dickon) and ABC’s new midseason drama Time After Time.

Following its first season (which is available to stream on shomi), UnREAL was named AFI’s Television Program of the Year, named Peabody Award winner and received three Critics’ Choice Awards nominations. Co-created by Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, the 10-episode second season was filmed in Vancouver.

A web series, The Faith Series, launched last month and follows Everlasting season one favourite Faith (Breeda Wool) and her girlfriend Amy (Malea Mitchell) as they travel to Los Angeles to pursue their Hollywood dreams and learn about their relationship along the way. The web series was written by Shapiro and is available on mylifetimetv.ca as well as Lifetime Canada’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
