— Coming up this week on The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS/CTV Two): Liam (Scott Clifton) faces off with Bill (Don Diamont) on Monday (July 4). Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is upset by Wyatt’s (Darin Brooks) decision to visit Quinn (Rena Sofer). On Tuesday (July 5), Liam confronts Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Katie (Heather Tom) and Bill give speeches about their marriage at Wyatt and Steffy’s Fourth of July party.
Liam threatens Brooke to come clean to Katie about her affair with Bill on Wednesday (July 6). Katie falls off the wagon.
On Thursday (July 7), an emotional and frazzled Katie arrives at Liam’s door. Katie confronts Brooke on Friday (July 8). Liam takes advantage of his new found confidence and tell Steffy exactly what he feels.
— Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, The Young and the Restless) will return to The Bold and the Beautiful as Forrester International publicist Eva for a batch of episodes beginning July 27 as characters head to Monaco. Kruger is married to B&B star Darin Brooks (Wyatt).
— General Hospital’s William deVry (Julian), Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) were recently in Toronto for a fan event that helped raise money and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada an I got the change to interview all three. deVry discussed the “Julexis” implosion and if the couple stand a chance while Zamprogna teased a big summer story for Dante, Lulu and a few other characters. Watkins discussed hope for “Killon” and what it’s like working with the legendary Jane Elliott (Tracy).
— Coming up this week on General Hospital (ABC/City): No new show on Monday (July 4), new episode airs on Tuesday (July 3) when Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Billy Miller) speculate on Nikolas (temp Nick Stabile) and Ava’s (Maura West) whereabouts. Laura (Genie Francis) wonders about Spencer’s (Nicolas Bechtel) odd phone conversation. Finn (Michael Easton) gets some life threatening news. Maxie (temp Molly Burnett) bonds with a new interviewee at Crimson (Bree Williamson’s Claudette is who is going by “CJ”). Kiki (Haylen Erin) and Morgan (Bryan Craig) share a close moment. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) voices her belief in Franco’s (Roger Howarth) innocence.
On Wednesday (July 6), Jason has bad news. Anna (Finola Hughes) urges Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to be careful. Nathan (Nathan Peavey) is shocked by what he finds. Maxie questions Griffin (Matt Cohen) about the challenges of priesthood. Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) is frustrated because he’s forced to leave Julian’s (William deVry) fate in someone else’s hands.
Julian grows suspicious on Thursday (July 7). Maxie learns the truth about who CJ really is. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) whispers the wrong name at the wrong time. Nina (Michelle Stafford) unexpectedly hires Curtis (Donnell Turner). Alexis tries to buy time on Friday (July 8). Julian makes a promise. Nikolas finds an opportunity to escape. Laura is on to Spencer’s secret calls. The mystery of Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) kidney donor deepens.
— Daytime Confidential broke that James Patrick Stuart will actually be playing Valentin Cassadine on General Hospital. Soap Opera Digest previously reported that the All My Children vet (he played Will Cortlandt from 1989-92) would be playing the mysterious Theo, who will debut on July 8. GH fans will remember that Helena (Constance Towers) mentioned the character to Luke (Anthony Geary) as the most treacherous Cassadine back in 2009. AMC and The Bold and the Beautiful alum Matt Borlenghi was originally cast in the role but the storyline was shelved after James Franco joined the series.
— I got the chance to interview Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami, DAYS), who’s latest TV movie (Murder She Baked: A Deadly Recipe) aired last week. The latest in the film series finds her character Hannah in a love triangle and I asked if she put her DAYS love triangle experiences to use: “Obviously the fan response makes it hard to root for one side or another, but as the executive producer and star, I’ve learned to create the ultimate love triangle that hopefully has fans unsure of which man they want to win Hannah’s heart. — Coming up this week on Days of our Lives (NBC/Global): JJ (Casey Moss) confronts Chad (Billy Flynn) about Abigail on Monday (July 4). Victor (John Aniston) does his best to comfort Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), who is distraught about the recent revelations about Summer (Marie Wilson) on Tuesday (July 5).
On Wednesday (July 6), Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) reveals to Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) that Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) is returning to Salem. Andre (Thaao Penghlis) reads an article about a downed private planet and strikes up an idea on Thursday (July 7).
Summer sits on a plane leaving Salem and cries of a baby are heard nearby on Friday (July 8). Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) make plans to return to Salem as she apologies for things not going as they’d planned.
— Marie Wilson last airs as Summer on Days of our Lives later this month.
— Drake Hogestyn (John) has been sidelined due to an injury in May.
— Martha Madison will last air as Belle on DAYS in early September.
