Spoiler Alert: I mention the latest Mr. Robot twist below

Mr. Robot revealed this season’s big twist on Wednesday night’s episode. Elliot’s been in jail the whole time, which is on par with what a lot of people I know thought. I thought he was in a psychiatric facility. I guess we’ll find out what he was busted for. Obviously it wasn’t the big hack. Maybe it was for what he did to Krista or the guy that was two-timing her? Could be why we don’t know what happened to his dog.

Sam Esmail told HitFlix that we will find out what really happened to Elliot in prison in a couple of episodes. “As with any mystery, you’ve got to start answering some questions. We will do plenty of question-answering in the back half, especially with all the things we set up in the first half of the season.” Great.

I still can’t get enough of that homage on ‘90s TV that Mr. Robot pulled off last week. I love that it crossed over to their social accounts as well.

TV Line has a new blind item that this fall’s biggest casting news hasn’t been announced. The (broadcast network) show and the spoiler’s name will be trending on Twitter before the credits roll. I figure it is Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. At first I was leaning towards Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man or Chris Evans’ Captain America but after Zendaya was cast as Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming, I feel that it could be Spider-Man related. I don’t think Sony (as a movie studio) would have a problem with this.

the lost boys

The CW is developing a Lost Boys TV series with Rob Thomas. Stay with me – according to Deadline, each season would chronicle a decade of a 70-year-old saga. It would be like an anthology series where cast members would change each year, except for the Lost Boys, obviously. I think this take would be great. I still remember watching the film as a kid and it still holds up as one of my favourite movies. It starred Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patrick, Jami Gertz and the two Coreys – oh and Gilmore GirlsEdward Herrmann (Richard) was also it in.

What I’m Loving: Difficult People continues to be my favourite comedy this summer. The second season is currently streaming in Canada on shomi.

What I’m Blogging: The soap fans loved the preview of Y&R’s 11,000th episode. Thanks for checking it out. I definitely think the show has improved under new leadership. Writing also seems to be improving a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised we find out that there will be a new headwriter soon.

What I’m Looking Forward To: Superstore has a special Olympics-themed episode tonight at 10:30pm on NBC. It’ll be a “lost” episode in the sense that it won’t address the walkout that occurred in the first season finale. Second season begins this fall on NBC and Global. CBC’s got the Tragically Hip concert tomorrow night. Find out how you can watch here on TV, online or on the app for free – across the world. I think we’ve only got 2 episodes of The Night Of left. My co-worker’s warned me not to expect to find out who did it, since this is HBO after all.

We’re less than two weeks away from the third season premiere of You’re The Worst!
