The second installment of The Sinner will make its Canadian debut on Monday, August 20, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Showcase.
Bill Pullman’s Detective Harry Ambrose returns to his hometown in rural New York to asses an unsettling and heart-wrenching crime: parents murdered by their 11-year-old son Julian (Alex Inc.’s Elisha Henig), with no apparent motive. Ambrose finds that there’s nothing ordinary about this boy or where he came from as the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown where he’s pitted against those who’ll stop at nothing to protects its secrets — including the mysterious Vera (The Leftovers’ Carrie Coon), who’s a complicated and enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle.
Jessica Biel, who starred in the first season, once again returns as the executive producer. The Sinner’s second season premiered on the USA Network in the U.S. on August 1.
John Norwood, who appeared as Detective Dan Leroy in the first season, will appear as a guest star in season two. Season’s two main cast will also include Natalie Paul, Hannah Gross, and Tracy Letts.
